Davies, Laing and Dick College (DLD), founded in 1931, specialises in preparing students for A-levels and GCSEs. Its reputation is built on success in public examinations and the quality of its small group teaching. There are 350 pupils in the college, all of whom are encouraged to develop their potential in an encouraging and positive atmosphere.

David Lowe, Principal

David Lowe read English at Gonville & Caius College Cambridge, where he was a Choral Exhibitioner, and at the Mozarteum Music Academy in Salzburg, Austria, where he studied solo singing.

Following a career in independent schools, as teacher, head of department, and deputy head, David was appointed Principal of Cambridge Tutors College in 1997. Over a period of eleven years CTC achieved growing success and recognition in the sector. David moved to DLD as Principal in 2008 and was promoted to the joint Principalship of both DLD and Abbey College London in 2011.
