We are currently looking for an enthusiastic , energetic and knowledgeable Premises Manager to join our team at our School in the West End.

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

The post holder will be responsible to the Director of Property for the upkeep of the three buildings that comprise the School.  The role will involve the co-ordination of site facilities, management of staff security of all buildings , maintenance, cleaning,  portering and postal services.

  • To manage maintenance staff to ensure weekly buildings checks are carried out and work is carried out in a timely manner, to include general maintenance, plumbing and decorations.
  • To have responsibility for the implementation of security and health and safety of the premises including property and personal security, including operation of CCTV.
  • To develop and review all procedures and practices relating to the security of the premises and equipment
  • Operation and upkeep of School systems to include asbestos, water management, control of utilities, fire protection, contractors, and the associated administration and record keeping, and other related systems as required
  • To manage the site team to provide a positive student and staff impression and contribute positively to meeting the school’s needs

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Proven skills in maintenance, decorating and engineering
  • Able to manage a small team and to work as part of the team
  • Health and safety qualification
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Experience of working in a school or other educational based background an advantage
  • Supervisory experience
  • Willingness to become a registered First Aider
