Portland Place School

Portland Place School was founded in 1996 and is a central London day school for boys and girls aged between 8 - 18 years. The academic curriculum, leading to GCSE and A-level, is supplemented by a wide range of dramatic, musical and sporting activities.

Portland Place School has a warm and caring environment where every pupil is recognised as a unique individual.  They strive for excellence both inside and outside of the classroom by setting pupils and staff demanding but realistic targets.

Dr Martin Stephen, Interim Headmaster

Martin Stephen is the former High Master of St Paul's School and of The Manchester Grammar School, and former Headmaster of The Perse School Cambridge. He was Chairman of HMC (The Headmasters' and Headmistress's Conference) in 2004, and is the author of 23 books on education, English Literature and history, as well as five historical crime thrillers.
