St. Anthony's School for Girls

St. Anthony's School for Girls is a new catholic independent school opening in September 2016, located in Ivy House, on North End Road, NW11.

Ivy House is a magnificent three storey building with a beautiful façade, overlooking Golders Hill Park and with a large terrace to the rear. It is the former home of the London Jewish Cultural Centre and of the prima ballerina, Anna Pavlova and was also at one time occupied by the painter, JMW Turner.

The new school will be a two-form entry school, educating girls from age 4 -11. Classes in Reception and Year 3 open in September 2016 and growth will be organic after that, with Year 1 and Year 4 opening in September 2017 and so on.

The maximum roll will be 280.

Laura Martin, Headteacher

Laura Martin has been appointed as the founding Headteacher of St. Anthony’s School for Girls.

Laura joins us from her previous role as Assistant Headteacher at Holy Family Catholic Primary School in West Acton.

In her previous role, she was responsible for strategic planning, safeguarding, curriculum implementation and delivery, as well as assessment and the day to day running of a start-up 2 form entry Catholic Primary School.  As a founding teacher and Assistant Head at a start-up school, she has a wealth of invaluable knowledge and experience and was an integral part of the team that led Holy Family to achieve the grade ‘Outstanding’ in its first Ofsted inspection.
